Buddy

Buddy is our resident golden retriever — and a very important member of the Franciscan Villa family.

Studies have shown that having a pet around can lower blood pressure and stress. It can also boost moods and enhance social interaction.

And Buddy’s proud of his role in helping to keep our residents healthier and happier.

Now 9, Buddy’s been our facilities dog since he was a pup. He works all day on the Franciscan Villa campus, gently nudging residents when he needs some affection. At night, he goes home with our activities director, Patti Utesch.

A loyal employee, Buddy’s never missed a day of “work.”
